Next SAUG meeting

The next SAUG meeting will take place on Sunday 9th February, 2020.

Time: 3pm - 6pm.

Location: Epping Community Centre

Entry cost: $10 to pay for the cost of venue hire. Free tea, coffee and biscuits are included!

G'day from WA. We're sorta about to kick off our 2nd ever meet here. Our first was at a gaming centre, a very casual meet, and now our 2nd we're looking at room hire with tables, etc.

What sorta turn out (attendance numbers) do you get at the Sydney meets?
500, 2000, 600, 1200, 4000, CD32

Hi Matt,

We used to get fairly low turn outs of only a few people.

But in the last few years with the big resurgence in interest and nostalgia for retro machines, we are getting up to 20 people fairly often.

Check out the meeting reports at http://saug.org.au for some photos of our meetings.

I think it's a great idea that you're kickstarting (no pun intended) a Perth user group, and I hope you can get some decent attendance!

In my experience it helps to promote the meetings on Facebook groups (like the Australian Vintage Computer Group), forums and anywhere else. I know of a couple WA based Amiga users.
