OCS/ECS Game of the Month for January, 2021, is Pac-Mania!

Pac-Mania is a one player game in which you manoeuvre Pac-Man through a World of 3-D mazes. Armed with unique BOUNCE power, Pac faces new challenges as he enters the worlds of Block Town, Pac-Man's Park, Sandbox Land and Jungly Steps.

Start the game by selecting level 1, 2 or 4 - the higher the level the more difficult the game. Your objective is to eat all the dots and power pills in the mazes whilst at the same avoiding the pesky ghosts. Boss ghost Clyde has recruited the talents of 2 new ghosts, Sue and Funky, making Pac's journey even more troublesome. However, eat a power pill and the ghosts will temporarily change colour giving Pac the chance to munch his way to extra points.

Pac also has the help of 2 "special items", a green and red power pill. The GREEN pill adds temporary speed and the RED awards double points. FRUIT may also appear and when eaten will add bonus points to your score.

If you are Pac-Maniac enough to have reached the next maze world before running out of lives, don't despair as there is an option to munch on!!

I played this a fair bit back in the day on my ST (it was a pack in) it's a pretty fun game from memory.

Had a quick play on my a1200 and got 641790.

Not sure if that's any good or not but hey it's a score!

Quite a fun little game. Never played it before ... it's quite hard when you can't see where the ghosts are. Graphics are nice too.

Hi Jacob,
That is actually the 'todays greatest' which is default 641790. When I saw that screen twice, knowing I did terrible the first time, and a lot better the second time, I noticed your actual score is listed on the highscore table, after you enter your initials. I see in your screenshot you were placed 6th on the highscore table. I got a 4th so I can only assume I got a better score than your 6th? (let me know if you have another screenshot of your score?). Mine was 43280 as in the attached.
Was a fun version, but very tricky on the controls, perhaps just the gamepad I was using but kept misreading my directions I thought.
Played on my A1200.

Doh, I should have read it better! Weird how it doesn't give you your score on the score screen when entering your name!

I'd say that your score would be higher then. Congrats!
