Game of the Month for August 2025:Gainforce

Picked from a random selection from the fantastic Amiga Game Selector!

For a long time you were the most successful double-agent between the pirates and the Federation. Now the Federation has discovered your crimes and you are fugitive. You flee to the pirates, but they throw you out! You have only two opportunities: get imprisoned or fight for your rehabilitation. You steal a little fighter of the R11 class and a laser-gun and fight for the Federation without order! Be careful: the whole universe will be on your heels.

Good work mate, I know what you mean!  The only chance I have had to play is day one for this month, and tonight I was picking the game for next month (tomorrow).  I hope to find time tomorrow/over the weekend to post the new game.

Thanks for getting into it buddy!

Cool game!  I spent most of my time crashing into the floor, walls and ceiling.  ;D

My final Score was 4440.

CDTV Version, beginners level, played on my Amiga 1200 PiStorm, no cheats, codes or any other kind of trickery were employed to achieve my amazing score.   :)

Apologies to NinjaKat for missing a few months of GOTHEM.  Life gets in the way sometimes.

C64 Forever / Re: Blingboard64 - New keyboard for the Commodore 64
« Last post by Marcio D. on July 31, 2025, 05:50:44 am »
A couple of months ago, Jim Drew offered a pre-order of 60 additional Blingboard64 units at the campaign price to offset the increase in printing costs.  Now in July 2025 and heading into August 2025, he's offering you another chance at pre-ordering a Blingboard64.

As you know, the upcoming Commodore 64 Ultimate (https://www.commodore.net) will use the basic Blingboard technology developed by Jim.  However, Jim refers to the C64 Ultimate keyboard as "Blingboard64 Lite Edition".  In other words, that keyboard in the C64 Ultimate will be less powerful than the keyboard offered in the crowdfunding campaign and recent pre-orders.  Jim explains it this way:

Quote
The Lite Edition is really a VERY stripped down version of the keyboard from this campaign.  It has basically none of the advanced features.  You can think of the Lite Edition as just a very nice keyboard with LEDs and a 4 pin connector that plugs into Gideon's U64 board.  The U64 itself provides the features.

The Blingboard64 in this campaign is very different because it has support for USB and Bluetooth BLE, a dual core CPU, expansion port, wireless programming, macros (recording and playback), 2MB of RAM fully accessible from the C64 side, ability to off-load calculations to the keyboard's CPU, and much, much, more!
