After a clean install of MorphOS, what do you consider essential in your setup?

What are your killer extensions/apps/games?

Normally I load the Chrysalis Pack on a fresh MorphOS install, which installs most of the MOS applications, games, etc you would want.

It is worth checking out Iris (new email client) and also the new Word processor Morpheus which are both under very active development at the moment:

I also did a step by step barebones build of MOS v3.10 (current version is 3.12) on my blog on a powerbook g4 if you are interested (without using Chrysalis pack):

That's enough to keep you busy for a bit! Hopefully the information is useful!

Very keen to give MorphOS a go but have never had the hardware to run it on.

Another tick box on the wish list!

Fortunately Powerbook G4 laptops are very cheap to buy these days, and MorphOS runs well on them. You can also use other Apple systems too (eMac, some powermac g4/g5 systems with ATI cards, mac mini G4) if you need a cheap option to run it.

It runs for 30 minutes in demo mode (just reboot to reset that timer) so you can try it out on the system.

Have been an Apple & Mac user for many years but have just been unlucky enough to get models outside its spec! I have an eMac (Well my sister does) but would have no where to put it! I still have and love my Old iMac G5 but I am pretty sure thats not supported either!

You are welcome. Look forward to seeing your MorphOS system once built!
