Well I’m starting my NABU adventure! Is anyone else in Brisbane or Canberra running one yet?

Oh my how fast this is moving! I have never seen anything like it!
The MAME (https://gtamp.com/nabu/) emulator is working a treat! Have been playing with CP/M on the NABU live from the NABU Retro Net.

A bit of a story for you...
Had a the super warm welcome to the NABU Forum (https://forums.nabu.ca)! and I have a funny quick story for you! I have a tiny little user connection to NABU and I was not even aware of at first! I did not see my first unit (still in a box) until recently ant the Retro Computing show in Canberra but the name sounded familiar. Now I have just been catching up on some video's (I'm not a big YouTube user) and watching some of DJSures (https://www.youtube.com/@DJSures) videos and then heard him say "Nanu Nanu" and oh my I burst out laughing! That's what my Great Uncle used to call the cable connected box/computer they had (NABU) - I can just hear him now - "..the Bloody Nanu Nanu box". I confirmed it with my second cousin, that was what he was talking about! Just thought some of you may get a kick out of it! You how it is when know a name is familiar but you just can't place it!
More soon!

Built my cable from other parts I had! Found the stupid pre-made serial cable I had only had 4 wires in it and not connected to the pins we need! :-\

Well, my NABU arrived and all my pre-setup and testing stood me in good stead!

Unit had a small cooling fan tick - that I successfully adjusted - but apart from that all working 100%
I have set it up - as they were originally intended - with my TV in the lounge.

I have setup and am using a Pi3B in a case as my "Internet Adapter", it is configured to run one of 2 servers at the moment - expansion on this is coming (power button, server switch etc).
We are in a 240V world so I am simply using a 200W step down transformer that I had available for the time being (I may well look into modify the internal switch mode power supply in the long run - I have done this is the past with Laserdisc players).
Unit is just connected via composite input into the TV, which is an auto switching PAL/NTSC Sony. The picture in not fantastic from a Text front but Games etc are VERY acceptable. This is another area for future expansion.
I am not a video person and 50 other people have already detailed what they have done so I won't go on much more than this. Please feel free to ask any questions.
So far I have found the network link very stable other than the odd issue relating to the slightly off-set baud rate you have to use on the PI.
I have setup file shares on the Pi and can very easily copy across new CP/M software etc for use on the NABU Internet Adapter Server software installed. Or if required, server version updates etc - I can VNC in to the Pi and download and install these directly.
Looking forward to DJSures (Headless) server expansion - the NABUNetSim Headless option works beautifully...

All working well! No other computers directly connected to the NABU PC or needed for me to fully enjoy my step back in time! And for an old CP/M junkie like me - this is a FANTASTIC Adventure!

Not used the NABU for a while, life gets like that! Needed to make a change to my Pi hosted Network Adapter!
Wanted to try and do it from the NABU in the comfort of the lounge room! ;) Worked a treat!
Using the "telnet" app under CP/M on the NABU to access the host Pi3B of the NABU Network adapter to make some configuration changes!
