GOTHEM - Game Of THE Month / November 2025 - Saint Dragon
« Last post by NinjaKat on Yesterday at 09:49:16 pm »
Game of the Month for November 2025: Saint Dragon

On a far distant planet you must prepare to fight the final battle!
An evil force of monster machines has risen to conquer the Galaxy. One by one the peaceful races of the Galaxy have been attacked and enslaved by the Cyborg Monsters. None has the strength to stand against the power of the Cyborgs, until one lone rebel rises from within the ranks of the mechanised monsters.

Part dragon, part machine, the Cyborg Warrior fights back against its tyrant masters. The Galaxy has a Hero. Hope returns to the hearts of the people at the rise of the Armoured Champion they call, “SAINT DRAGON”.

In this reverse of the Saint George legend you must fly the Armoured Dragonship through five levels of non stop destruction. Choose between fireballs, bouncing bombs, ring lasers and turret weapons to blast your way through the armoured pumas, mechanical cobras, giant cyborg bull and a host of other mutant machines. But remember fire power isn’t everything! Your ship has an armoured tail. Use it well and you may just survive.

Well done mate!  Best I could manage was 1098 and 6 lines.  Yep sure is fast.  At first I thought I had to line up colours but there are a lot of variation, then I realised you can line up any colour to remove a row.. oh well, hope to put more time in next month.

No cheats or passwords played on my A1200

Thank you! Wow! Amazed myself! I was sure that would be the worst score ever!

Well.. its fast.. or is it just me! Do much better with Tetris normally...  Joystick type controls.. not good for me in this case!

All done as "the green" instructions!

Best is: 2321 (21 Lines)..

Level design update:

In his latest post on the campaign page, the developer informs us that the first pass of level design has been finished.  The second pass is now underway, which focuses on refining each level’s layout, enemy placement, and gameplay flow to near-final quality.  At the current pace, this second pass should be finished around mid-December 2025.

After the second pass, the third pass work will begin, which involves integrating all final graphics for levels, characters, menus, and other visual elements.  And then the final pass is the optimization and polish phase, to ensure the game runs smoothly and meets the high standards being aimed for.  The developer promises to keep backers fully informed of all progress as it happens.

The game has 42 levels, comprised of:

- 35 regular levels

- 5 boss levels

- 2 bonus levels

Graphics update:

The artists have begun working on background animations to liven up the levels.  They're also remastering the special effects such as blood, explosions, and impact visuals to ensure they look their best - i.e. smoother motion and more animation frames.  The developer is sparing no expense in giving these elements the attention they deserve.

Spread the word!

Tell your friends about Shadow Gangs Zero.  The more support the campaign receives, the better the final product:
