June/July 2021 - Chuck Rock

OCS/ECS Game of the Month for June AND NOW July 2021, is Chuck Rock!
Chuck Rock is a prehistoric platformer created by Core Design for the Amiga and released in 1991. The same year it was released for the Atari ST.
The game is in no way meant to be true to the Stone Age, as dinosaurs and humans populate the Earth together in this, silly side-scroller. Chuck himself is the crass and brutish lead vocalist of a local rock band and becomes the target of a jealous rival who abducts his babelicious girlfriend. In order to get her back, Chuck must use his rock throwing skills and generous dinosaur steak gut to thwart his enemies. Chuck must travel across varied lands, solve a few puzzles, and defeat enemies on his journey to save his girl. He can also find a few friendly dinos to help him out along the way. Bright, cartoonish graphics complement the playfully absurd antics of our caveman hero and add to the fun.

Hi all,
Hoping we get some involvement this month. My work timetable is a bit of a joke at the moment, so haven't had a chance to play or choose new games, so I have decided to extend the June GOTHEM into July. Have fun!

Got my NinjaKat console back up and running (after a skin upgrade) so had to install the new Amiberry and give this a go! Great game.
Best I could do tonight was 20900

Ok, I'll take that win!
Score: 20900
Let me know (send me a PM) if there is ANYTHING I can do to get more involvement in these GOTHEM games of the month challenges!
